Employee Spotlight: Jo Steadman

If you ever place a call to Marshall, Parker & Weber, more than likely the first voice you will hear is Jo Steadman.  Jo has been part of the MPW family since 2003 and currently serves the firm as an Administrative Assistant.  Jo processes all incoming calls, is one of the firm’s notary publics, assists with the preparation of many documents, and keeps the front office running smoothly.  Jo thoroughly enjoys being of service to our clients and our staff.

Jo grew up in the Turbotville area and currently resides in Williamsport.  She is the youngest of four children, is the aunt of two nephews and a niece, and her mother, Janice (aka Sassypants), is very well known at the firm and on Facebook for her colorful stories and antics.  For anyone who used to frequent a diner in Hughesville called “Janice K’s Diner,” Janice K. is Jo’s mom.

Jo graduated from Warrior Run High School.  She majored in Music, English and Paralegal Studies at Cedar Crest College and graduated Magna Cum Laude.  By the time she graduated, Jo could play eight instruments, was capable of conducting, and was beginning to compose her own pieces.  It was after college and around the age of 24 that Jo found her passion – dance!

Today Jo still dances, having spent a little bit of time dancing in NYC and L.A.  She is both a student and teacher at D&K’s Studio of Dance, and also teaches group fitness classes.  She has a passion for personal growth and leadership development, and is a Certified Wellness Coach.  However, Jo is not a morning person and must consume her beloved coffee before being fully functional.  Jo has a heart for her faith, a desire to be a servant leader, loves dogs and spending time with friends and family.  She enjoys reading a good book on her porch, especially if there is a light breeze.

Jo is also recently engaged to William Reish and beginning to plan her wedding (feel free to leave some wedding and/or marital advice comments for her!).  She feels very blessed to know she will have her own family with her soon-to-be husband and 9 year old stepson. Jo Steadman and mother
