Margaret M. Stockdale, Esquire

Attorney Stockdale is a 2014 graduate of Bucknell University, with degrees in Economics and Political Science. She lives in Lewisburg, where her family has resided for many generations.

Following her college graduation, she moved to New York City to work as a paralegal in hopes of one day going to law school. After one short year, she followed that dream and moved to Pittsburgh to attend Duquesne University School of Law.

During her time as a paralegal, she worked on various product liability cases and mass tort litigation. Once in law school, she was a member of Duquesne’s Public Interest, Environmental, and Women’s Law Societies. During the summer between her IL and 2L years, she worked as a summer associate for an insurance defense firm in Pittsburgh. Following that experience, Attorney Stockdale began a year-long externship with Achieva Family Trust, a corporate trustee for Special Needs Trusts for individuals with disabilities. She worked alongside Amy Dolan Strano, the president of the organization. Next, during the summer between her 2L and 3L years, she worked for a personal injury firm in the South Hills region of Pittsburgh. Finally, she interned at a Pittsburgh Elder Law Firm, working with a Certified Elder Law Attorney (“CELA”) on estate planning, real estate and elder law matters. Additionally, she assisted in getting Medicaid and Veterans benefits for clients.

Attorney Stockdale graduated from Duquesne University School Law in May of 2018. She passed the Pennsylvania Bar in October of 2018, and is excited to return to the area to begin her legal career.

Maggie is an active member of the American Cancer Society, having been a volunteer since 2002 when her mother first brought The Relay to Life to the Lewisburg community. Additionally, Attorney Stockdale is a supporter of Camp Koala, a non-profit organization that provides grieving children with the tools and resources to help them manage their grief in a healthy way, and to offer companionship in a supportive environment. Attorney Stockdale attends Camp Koala’s yearly Gala, the organization’s biggest fundraiser.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, their English Bulldog puppy, Teddy, shopping, watching movies, running, and relaxing while reading a good book.
