What to Expect at Marshall & Associates

Founded in 1980, Marshall & Associates is widely recognized as a leader in providing quality estate planning and elder care planning services.  We know how to help our clients achieve their goals and protect their rights, financial resources, and quality of life.

To help you plan most effectively, we need to know as much as possible about you.  So, we ask you to prepare for your initial appointment and bring important documents and information along with you.

Q: What do I need to bring to my appointment?

After you contact us to schedule your initial meeting, we will send you an appointment confirmation letter that will include a family information sheet and a checklist of items you should bring with you.

Please try to fill out the information sheet in advance of your appointment.  But, if you can't find or gather all the information we request before your appointment, that's okay. Don't postpone your appointment.  Bring what you can locate. We should be able to get the remaining paperwork we need.

Q. Who should attend the office consultation?

When you are doing estate or long-term care planning, delay can be your enemy.  Thus, we recommend that all family members whose approval will be required for you to move forward, attend the appointment.

The matters we discuss are complex.  It helps if all of the persons who will be involved in making a decision can hear what we have to say and have the opportunity to ask questions.  So, if a family decision-maker cannot attend in person, you can try to make sure that they are available by telephone.
