Karen is the Care Manager for our Central PA offices. She received her Certificate in Elder Care Coordination in January 2014, and she has an Associate Degree in Specialized Business-Legal. Karen has been with the firm for 30 years. Prior to her current position as a Care Manager, Karen was a Case Manager working with older adults and their families on their legal, financial, and health care needs. Her compassion and hands on approach keeps her in touch with her client’s needs, where she was often seen as an advocate and resource.

Karen keeps current on programs available to the older adult as well as resources that are available in the community. She also volunteers at one of the local nursing homes.

Karen is an Army Veteran and she is always humbled when she has the opportunity to meet with an older Veteran. She served a one year tour in Iraq as well as humanitarian missions in Central America. She graduated from Warrior Run High School and lives in Cogan House Township, Lycoming County with her husband Don and their two dogs—a Golden Retriever and a Black Labrador. Her husband Don brought two children to the marriage and they currently have five grandchildren. Karen enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and hiking, kayaking, and 4-wheeling in the Wilds of Pennsylvania. Karen and Don are members of the Cogan House Christian Church.

“Taking care of my husband was a 24-hour job. I do want to tell you Karen Griswold is wonderful. There were plenty of days I called her in tears, not knowing where to turn or what to do. She would calm me down and tell me not to worry, she would get me through it. She is a caring and compassionate person. ” -Sandra
“We would like to thank you for your courteous and exceptional service. We have been very pleased with your services and most of all would like to thank Karen Griswold who has gone above and beyond her duty to direct and guide us in the right direction. Because of her, our father is getting the care he needs in an extraordinary way. Your firm is very lucky to have her and so are we. She has been a pleasure to work with. Thank you for everything you’ve done and for sharing Karen with us.” -Barbara
