About the Update:

Whether you are attending your first Marshall, Parker & Weber Professional Update or your 17th, join hundreds of your colleagues for networking and learning about the latest issues affecting our senior clients and patients.

This year’s event is featuring The Second Wind Dreams Virtual Dementia Tour®, an unforgettable experience where attendees will get a glimpse of the physical and emotional challenges facing an individual with dementia.   Everyone will have an opportunity to take a ten minute tour through a hotel room where your vision and hearing are impaired and you will be asked to to perform the most simple tasks. It is an eye-opening experience for anyone who has been personally or professionally affected by the disease. Then, at the conclusion of the conference, Jan Nelson from the Center of Courageous Aging and trained Second Wind Dreams Virtual Dementia Tour®, will provide the keynote address. You can view a video of The Second Wind Dreams Virtual Dementia Tour® online.

Back by popular demand this year will also be our breakout sessions for Financial Professionals and Health Care / Social Services Professionals.

Who should attend? Anyone who works with seniors should plan to attend!  Our general session and keynote will cover broad topics, but we have specifically designed breakout sessions for more in-depth discussions. You can choose to attend the Legal/Financial Breakout or the Healthcare/Social Services Breakout. Our audience usually includes:

  • Nursing Home and Personal Care Home Staff
  • Financial Advisors
  • Home Health Professionals
  • RNs, Social Workers, Geriatric Care Managers, Admissions Coordinators
  • Trust Officers and Banking Professionals
  • Attorneys
  • Accountants
