of Elder Law" Topic of Recent Training By Attorney

, more than 30 local paralegals and attorneys attended the Lycoming
County Paralegal Association’s fall training to learn about the
fundamentals of elder law and long term care planning from
Williamsport Board Certified Elder Law Attorney
Jeffrey A. Marshall
.
The training, which offered
continuing education credit to legal professionals, focused on the
legal planning for aging and illness.
Attorney Marshall also discussed trends in long term care such
as the increased public funding of home and community based care for
seniors in lieu of the more traditional skilled nursing facility care.
Attorney Marshall frequently
serves as a course planner and instructor for the Pennsylvania Bar
Institute and has been practicing elder law, including estate and
lifetime planning for over 20 years in
Lycoming
County
