Born in West Bend, Iowa, Cris Hamilton grew up with one sister and four brothers. She and her siblings were big into sports, rooting for the Minnesota Vikings, the Chicago Cubs, and any sport the Iowa Hawkeyes would participate in. (A few of the siblings defected to become Green Bay and Chicago Bears fans, but their names shall not be spoken.)
Cris herself played a sport every season: volleyball, basketball, track and softball. She graduated with a degree in History and Government Education from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa and taught 7-8 grades for 14 years. Having coached 3 of her 4 chosen sports, many of her students referred to her just as “coach.”
In 1998 she met Jeff, the man she would later marry and would woo her across the country to Central Pennsylvania. They made their home here in Jersey Shore in 2005, and she began working for Marshall, Parker & Weber. In her role as case manager, she assists clients who are planning for long-term care costs, as well as estate planning. Whether her clients are facing a crisis, or are planning ahead, she walks them step-by-step through the process of protecting their assets. She has been a valued member of the Marshall, Parker & Weber team for almost 10 years now.
Cris and her husband Jeff have twin boys, Seth and Cody. At 13 years old, they keep their parents busy attending Little League, football, and basketball games. Recently the boys participated in the opening ceremonies for the Little League World Series where they got to meet coaches and players from around the world. She also has two step children, Kayla and Jeffrey, and one grandchild, with a second one on the way. And, not to be forgotten, their family also includes two loveable yellow labs, Harley and Danni.
