Casey Sauerwine, Esquire, has joined the Marshall, Parker & Weber team. She provides legal services to clients in Northeastern Pennsylvania from the firm’s offices in Wilkes-Barre and Scranton.
Casey was born in Wilkes-Barre and has lived in Dorrance, Pennsylvania the majority of her life. She is the youngest of three and was a surprise to her parents as she came at a time when her brother was 17 and her sister was 14. Growing up as the baby in a family where her siblings were significantly older than her, Casey said it was almost as if she was an only child that had not two but four adults looking out for her and of course spoiling her.
Casey attended Crestwood High School in Mountaintop, Pennsylvania and after graduation she received an academic scholarship to attend Penn State University at University Park. Casey enjoyed her four years in Happy Valley going to all the football games, attending THON, joining a sorority; she kept busy. One of the best things to come out of going to Penn State for Casey was having the ability to live and study abroad in Australia for 6 months. In Australia she met lifelong friends, was able to see some of the world’s most beautiful and exotic wildlife and was lucky enough to travel to New Zealand to explore and bungee jump off the side of a mountain.
After graduating from Penn State, Casey moved to Orlando for law school. Casey has said one of the perks of going to law school in Orlando is when you had a tough day at school or were stressed out about the week to come, Disney World was in your back yard to melt all your worries away.
Casey moved back to Pennsylvania after law school; her family and friends were still here and she realized that she wanted to stay close to them. Casey took the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bar examinations passing both and becoming amember of their bars respectively.
Casey is very outgoing, loves sports, her dog Wrigley, the outdoors and random celebrity information. Her friends and family often say she is the queen of useless information when it comes to the sports and celebrity worlds but they all want to be on her team come trivia night!
