Changing Face of Planning for Seniors is Topic of 9th Annual Elder Law Update

Originally Released April 26, 2005

Join the Elder Law Firm of Marshall & Associates with support this year from the Northcentral Pennsylvania Estate Planners Council and C&N Trust & Financial Management Group, for their 9th Annual Elder Law Update on Thursday, May 12th, 2005 from 8:00 AM- 12:15 PM at the Williamsport Radisson. The event is free of charge and continuing education credit has been approved for attorneys, accountants and personal care home administrators.

Dramatic changes are taking place with some of the programs and planning tools that are of most significance to Pennsylvania seniors.  Medicare and Medicaid are in transition, Social Security may be next.  Special Needs Trusts, Reverse Mortgages and other poorly understood planning tools are growing in importance.

Experts from across the state will be providing professionals with the most up-to-date information on these changes affecting their clients.  Speakers will include Patricia Brady, Director of the Department of Public Welfare’s Bureau of Long Term Care, John Krasja of AFC First Financial Corporation, Attorney Kathy Hendrickson from the Pittsburg Family Trust, Kemp Scales of Scales Elder Law in Titusville and also Jeffrey Marshall, managing attorney of the Elder Law Firm of Marshall & Associates.

For more information or to register, please contact Melissa Bottorf, Director of Public Education, at 1-800-401-4552 or at mbottorf@paelderlaw.com.
