Mark your calendars – it’s time to save the date for the 18th Annual Professional Update. You can expect another great program this year.

May 21, 2014 at the Genetti Hotel in Williamsport

May 22, 2014 at the Woodlands in Wilkes-Barre

As professionals working with seniors, you certainly hear over and over again how they want to be able to remain in their homes as they age. That goal presents a myriad of challenges for the seniors as well as their families. We are excited to bring you speakers to help address some of those concerns.

We will begin the morning with a review of the most notable issues in elder law and wrap it up with a guest speaker tackling the tax implications of paying for care – especially in home care. Our keynote speaker is Elaine K. Sanchez. Based on her own experiences of caring for family elders, Elaine developed a passion for helping others cope with the emotional stress of caregiving. Her keynotes and workshops are based on her unflinchingly honest and uproariously funny book “Letters from Madelyn, Chronicles of a Caregiver.” She also hosts a weekly radio show and co-founded, an online, video-based support program developed for individuals, support groups and individuals.

Join hundreds of your colleagues for networking and learning about the latest issues affecting our senior clients and patients. As always, we will be offering continuing education credits.

Who should attend? Anyone who works with seniors should plan to attend!  Our audience usually includes:

  • Nursing Home and Personal Care Home Staff
  • Financial Advisors
  • Home Health Professionals
  • RNs, Social Workers, Geriatric Care Managers, Admissions Coordinators
  • Trust Officers and Banking Professionals
  • Attorneys
  • Accountants
  • Area Agency on Aging Caseworkers
  • and many more!
